Washington Nationals starting pitcher, MAX SCHERZER, 2016 National League Cy Young Award winner, strikes out Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Howie Kendrick in the sixth inning. Scherzer, makiing his first start of the year, pitched 6 2/3rd innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs and walking 2 , leading the Nationals to a 7-6 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in the Phillies Home opener at Citizens Bank Park.
