MLB 2016 – METS DEFEAT PHILLIES 7-2 IN HOME OPENER

New York Mets starting pitcher, JACOB deGROM, throws his first pitch of the Met’s home opener to Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Freddy Galvis at CitiFIELD. deGROM maintained his focus on the mound wth his wife expecting a baby any moment. Leaving the game with a sore lat in his back after 6 innings, deGROM yielded one run on only 5 hits, with 6 strike outs and no walks. The Mets went on to win 7-2.
