  • Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, CARSON WENTZ, hands off to running back, COREY CLEMENT, in the first quarter against the Indianapolis Colts. Clement led the Eagles running backs gaining 56 yards and leading the Eagles to a 20-16 victory.

Check out these 7 selected images from today’s Philadelphia Eagles vs. Indianapolis Colts game from Lincoln Financial Field. In his first game since tearing two ligaments in his left knee, CARSON WENTZ, returned to action in a rain-soaked field.
After leading his team to an early touchdown and a 7-0 lead on a nifty touchdown pass to rookie tight end DALLAS GOEDERT( the first NFL touchdown of GOEDERT’s career) CARSON WENTZ struggled somewhat to find the sharpness of last year. Trailing 16-13 in the fourth quarter, WENTZ led a 17 play, 75 yard drive, culminating in a winning touchdown on a 4 yard run by WENDELL SMALLWOOD. Overall, CARSON WENTZ completed 25 of 37 passes for 255 yards, one passing touchdown, one interception, and one fumble.
The heroes of the game, however, were the defensive team, led by defensive end, DEREK BARNETT, who held the Colts to 209 total yards. The key defensive play of the game occurred with less than two minutes left to play with the Colts on the Eagles 5 yard line and fourth down, when DEREK BARNETT tripped up Colts quarterback ANDREW LUCK to end the threat on the Eagles’ 4 yard line. The Eagles held on to win 20-16.

  • Philadelphia Eagles injured quarterback, Carson Wentz, holds up the Lombardi Trophy. The Philadelphia Eagles won their first Super Bowl defeating the New England Patriots 41-33.

Nick Foles rose to the occasion defeating the greatest quarterback ever to play in the NFL, Tom Brady by a score of 41-33.
Nick Foles, the backup quarterback who took over as Philadelphia’s starting quarterback only after an injury to Carson Wentz in Week 14, completed 28 of 43 passes for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns, and he even caught a touchdown pass in an offensive effort that few predicted he was capable of coming into the game. He repeatedly converted third down opportunities, threw aggressively into coverage all game, and appeared every bit as poised and confident as Brady, the five-time champion on the other side of the field.
The Eagles had offensive stars all over the field, with LeGarrette Blount rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown, Corey Clement contributing 108 yards of total offense, and Nelson Agholor catching 9 passes for 84 yards. But it was Zach Ertz, Foles’s favorite target, who got the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter when he dove over Devin McCourty for a thrilling 11-yard touchdown pass that stood up to a long review by the officials who were trying to determine if he had possession of the ball before it shot out of his hands in the end zone. Ertz finished the day with 7 catches for 67 yards.
Foles is the first player in NFL history to both throw and catch a touchdown pass in a Super Bowl.

  • Eagles CARSON WENTZ celebrates with ALSHON JEFFERY
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, CARSON WENTZ, celebrates his first touchdown pass of the game with his wide receiver ALSHON JEFFERY after a 32 yard pass to give the Eagles a 7-3 lead. Wentz was 15 of 27 for 199yards and four touchdown passes, leading the Eagles to a 51-23 victory.

Uploaded are eight fantastic images from today’s DENVER BRONCOS vs PHILADELPHIA EAGLES game won by the Eagles 51-23. As you know, the Eagles(8-1) destroyed the league’s top ranked defense, gaining 419 yards.
The stars of the game were CARSON WENTZ, who completed 15 of 27 passes for 199 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Rookie running back, COREY CLEMENT, who had two touchdown runs and one touchdown pass. And recently acquired running back, JAY AJAYI, who scored his first touchdown as an Eagle on a 46yard run with 8 carries and 77yards gained overall.
I truly believe that the Eagles are for real and CARSON WENTZ is becoming a serious MVP candidate. It’s a long season and a lot can happen over the next two months but the Eagles have a legitimate shot at winning something that they have never done in their history—THE SUPER BOWL.

  • Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, CARSON WENTZ, completes pass to his tight end Brent Celek in the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers. WENTZ completed 18 of 32 passes for 211 yards and  two touchdowns and one interception, leading the Eagles to a 33-10 victory over the 49ers.

I have uploaded eight selected images from today’s San Francisco 49ers vs Philadelphia Eagles game which capture the key plays of the game. The Eagles, despite reflecting some weaknesses on their offensive line, soundly defeated the 49ers 33-10.  The NINERS are an extremely weak team having lost every game this year and are 0-8 for the first time in franchise history; therefore, it is very difficult to assess the Eagles performance today. Nevertheless, the Eagles are now 7-1, the best record in the NFL.  CARSON WENTZ leads the NFL with the 19 TD passes, the most by an Eagles quarterback through eight games. The Eagles defense again played very well, sacking the 49ers quarterback 4 times, blocking a field goal, and holding them to 10 points.

There is no question that CARSON WENTZ is a legitimate MVP candidate, despite his mediocre performance today. Next week the Denver Broncos will provide a better test of how good the Eagles really are. Of course, I will be there .

On a different note, the weather was miserable and several of the 49ers continued to protest during the National Anthem.
