  • Boston Red Sox catcher, CHRISTIAN VASQUEZ, is thrown out trying to steal second base by Toronto catcher Danny Jansen in the bottom of the third inning. The Blue Jays went on to win 7-5 in Boston’s home opener.

Check out these 10 selected images from today’s Boston Home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays, won by the Blue Jays 7-5.  Toronto’s starting pitcher, MATT SHOEMAKER, had another strong performance, allowing only 3runs and 5 hits over 5 2/3rd innings. He is now 3-0.

Unfortunately for the Red Sox, their ACE, CHRIS SALE, had another poor performance, allowing 5 runs, 7 hits over 4 innings and he is now 0-3. I sent you two very nice shots of these pitchers.

In the top of ninth inning, Blue Jays short stop FREDDY GALVIS hit an RBI double, giving the Blue Jays a 7-5 lead that they never relinquished.

I also am sending you images of key hits by MITCH MORELAND, XANDER BOGAERTS, AND MOOKIE BETTS.  The final two images are of Blue Jays closer, K GILES  striking out Mookie Betts to end the game.

I think it will be a long season for the Sox.

  • Boston Red Sox catcher, Christian Vasquez, hits the game’s winning home run in the fourth inning off of New York Yankee reliever Zach Britton, giving the Red Sox a 4-0 lead. The Red Sox went on to defeat the New York Yankees 4-3 to win the AL Division Series.

Check out these six selected images from tonight’s Boston Red Sox/ New York Yankees game from Yankees stadium where the Red Sox defeated the Yankees 4-3 to win the AL DIVISIONAL SERIES.

Stars of the game were Red Sox starting pitcher, RICK PORCELLO, who held the Yankees to only 4 hits and one run over five innings for his first postseason victory; CHRIS SALE, who in a rare relief appearance, pitched a perfect 1-2-3 eighth inning to protect a 4-1 lead; and

Boston Red Sox catcher, CHRISTIAN VASQUEZ, who hit the winning home run in the fourth inning to give the Red Sox a 4-0 lead.

I included 2 iconic celebration shots as well.

The Red Sox will now face last year’s World Series Champions, the Houston Astros, in the AL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES.
