  • Boston Red Sox starting pitcher, EDUARDO RODRIGUEZ, throws a strike in the fifth inning against the New York Yankees. RODRIGUEZ pitched 5 immings allowing only one hit, whole striking out 8 and walking 3. The Red Sox went on to win 5-4.

Uploaded here are four really outstanding images from tonight’s New York Yankees/ Boston Red Sox game from Fenway park. Boston’s starting pitcher, RICK PORCELLO, threw a gem of a game, pitching a no-hitter for 6 innings, and allowing only 2 hits, no runs, no walks, while striking out 6 for seven innings.
Boston had a scare in the first inning when HANLEY RAMIREZ was hit on the wrist by a pitch thrown by the Yankee’s starting pitcher Sonny Gray and RAMIREZ had to leave the game. Fortunately, XRAYS subsequently showed that RAMIREZ suffered a contusion but no broken bones.
The Red Sox went on to win 6-3, taking the first 2 out 3 games in the series.

  • Boston Red Sox starting pitcher, EDUARDO RODRIGUEZ, retires New York Yankees second baseman, Starlin Castro in the bottom of the seventh inning for the third out. RODRIGUEZ pitched 7 innings, allowing only 4 hits and one run leading the Red Sox to a 5-2 victory over the Yankees.

This is just one of the 5 selected images I uploaded from today’s Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees game from Yankee Stadium. Boston Red Sox starting pitcher, EDUARDO RODRIGUEZ, off to a terrible start this year with an ERA of 8.6 and starting his first game from having been sent down to the
Minors , turned in an outstanding performance against the Yankees. Rodriguez pitched 7 complete innings allowing only 4 hits and 1 earned run leading the Red Sox to a 5-2 victory. The Red Sox trail the Baltimore Orioles by only 2 games and given the trading moves that the Red Sox have made over the last week or so, they are in a strong position to challenge the Orioles for the lead of their division. Boston Red Sox catcher, Sandy Leon, went 2 for 4 , including a 3-run home run and drove in 4 runs overall.
