The Jets went on to win 34-21 and could possibly be a playoff contender if they continue to play the way they did tonight.

There is no question that CARSON WENTZ is a legitimate MVP candidate, despite his mediocre performance today. Next week the Denver Broncos will provide a better test of how good the Eagles really are. Of course, I will be there .

On a different note, the weather was miserable and several of the 49ers continued to protest during the National Anthem.

I have captured six eye catching images from today’s New York Jets vs Jacksonville Jaguars game at MetLife Stadium win by the Jets 23-20 in overtime. This was an exciting game highlighted by two touchdown runs of 75 yards( BILAL POWELL) and 69 yards(rookie ELIJAH McGUIRE) and a 41 yard field goal by CHANDLER CATANZARO with 28 seconds remaining in overtime.
It was the first time in franchise history that the jets had two touchdown runs of 60 or more yards in the same game. The Jets are now 2 and 2, heading for the Cleveland Browns which is a particularly weak opponent.
For a team that was predicted to struggle all year, the Jets are surprising everyone…that’s sports for you.
