  • Houston Astros starting pitcher, Justin Verlander, gives up a pair of first-inning home runs for the first time in 28 post season starts and four runs in an inning for the first time since joining the Astros in August 2017. VERLANDER went on to pitch 7 innings  allowing 5 hits and 9 strike outs walking none but taking the 4-1 loss.

Take a look at our 6 selected images from last night’s game 5 of the ALCS, won by the Yankees 4-1.

All of the action occurred in the first inning when the Astros scored 1 run on a pass ball and wild pitch and the Yankees scored 4 runs on two home runs, one of which was a 3run shot by Aaron Hicks.

James Paxton pitched  a great game.

  • The Great MARIANO RIVERA pitches again in the 73rd Annual Old-Timers Day. In addition to hitting an inside the park home run and making a catch in center field, he closed out the fourth-inning exhibition by retiring Luis Soho via a ground out.

Take a look at these four selected images from today’s Houston Astro’s vs New York Yankees game from Yankee Stadium, won by the Astros 9-4.

The Yankees held their 73rd Annual Old-Timers Day celebration and the “great” Mariano Rivera stole the show, hitting an inside the park home run, catching a fly ball in center field, and closing out the fourth inning exhibition by retiring Luis Sojo. There is also a nice shot of Mariano pitching again at Yankee Stadium.

The pitching star of the real game was Justin Verlander(10-3), who became the third 10-game winner in the AL, allowing 3 runs and 4 hits over 7 Innings, striking out 9 and walking only 2.  I captured a very nice image of Verlander throwing a strike to DJ LeMahieu.

Two of the hitting stars for the Astros were first baseman Tyler White, who hit his first grand slam home run in the fourth inning, and designated hitter

Yordan Alvarez, who hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning, tying a big league record with his 7th home run in 12 games to begin his career. I got two very good shots of White and Alvarez.

Despite their loss today, the Yankees look like a potential World Series Champion again

  • Houston Astros Ace, JUSTIN VERLANDER, throws a strike to New York Yankees leadoff batter D.J. LeMahieu in the first inning at Yankee Stadium. Verlander(10-3) became the third 10 game winner in the AL, allowing three runs and four hits over 7 linnings, striking out 9 and walking 2, leading to a 9-4 victory.

  • Houston Astros JUSTIN VERLANDER wins his first professional relief appearance after making 424 starts for the Detroit Tigers and the Houston Astros. VERLANDER pitched 2 2/3 innings, allowing one hit, a two run home run to Andrew Benintendi. The Astros defeated the Red Sox 5-4 to win the divisional series.

Take a look at these fantastic but pivotal selected images from today’s Houston Astros/ Boston Red Sox game 4 of the Divisional Series won by the Astros 5-4. It was a strange game, it rained throughout the game; both teams used their number 1 starting pitcher as key relievers in this game…. and Boston Red Sox manager, John Farrell, was ejected from the game in the second inning for arguing a called third strike. The Red Sox should have won, but didn’t.
I hope you enjoy these key moments of the game.
