  • Boston Red Sox right fielder, Mookie Betts, hits a home run off of Blue Jays starting pitcher, Matt Shoemaker, in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Blue Jays went on to win 7-5 in Boston’s home opener.

Check out these 10 selected images from today’s Boston Home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays, won by the Blue Jays 7-5.  Toronto’s starting pitcher, MATT SHOEMAKER, had another strong performance, allowing only 3runs and 5 hits over 5 2/3rd innings. He is now 3-0.

Unfortunately for the Red Sox, their ACE, CHRIS SALE, had another poor performance, allowing 5 runs, 7 hits over 4 innings and he is now 0-3. I sent you two very nice shots of these pitchers.

In the top of ninth inning, Blue Jays short stop FREDDY GALVIS hit an RBI double, giving the Blue Jays a 7-5 lead that they never relinquished.

I also am sending you images of key hits by MITCH MORELAND, XANDER BOGAERTS, AND MOOKIE BETTS.  The final two images are of Blue Jays closer, K GILES  striking out Mookie Betts to end the game.

I think it will be a long season for the Sox.

Uploaded here are four really outstanding images from tonight’s New York Yankees/ Boston Red Sox game from Fenway park. Boston’s starting pitcher, RICK PORCELLO, threw a gem of a game, pitching a no-hitter for 6 innings, and allowing only 2 hits, no runs, no walks, while striking out 6 for seven innings.
Boston had a scare in the first inning when HANLEY RAMIREZ was hit on the wrist by a pitch thrown by the Yankee’s starting pitcher Sonny Gray and RAMIREZ had to leave the game. Fortunately, XRAYS subsequently showed that RAMIREZ suffered a contusion but no broken bones.
The Red Sox went on to win 6-3, taking the first 2 out 3 games in the series.

  • Trailing the Tampa Bay Rays 2-0 in the bottom of the 9th inning, Boston Red Sox lead-off hitter MOOKIE BETTS hits a single to begin a Red Sox rally which tied the game 2-2. The Red Sox went on to win 3-2 in the bottom of the 12th inning on a bases-loaded single by HANLEY RAMIREZ.

Uploaded here are 6 selected images from today’s Red Sox home opener won by the Sox 3-2 in 12 innings. Based on the strong pitching of starter DAVID PRICE and reliever BOBBY POYNER coupled with the clutch hitting of HANLEY RAMIREZ, who drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 12th inning with a clutch hit with bases loaded, the Red Sox won their 6th straight game.
I am now headed for the New York Yankees home opener on April 2.

  • Boston Red Sox Mookie Betts is thrown out by New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez is thrown out by New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez attempting to steal second base in the first inning. New York Yankees short stop DIDI GREGORIUS puts on the tag. This play set the tone of the game as the Yankees went on to win 9-1, taking 2 out of 3 games against the Red Sox.

Check out these 5 extremely memorable images from tonight’s Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees game from Yankee stadium. The two stars of the game were starting pitcher MICHAEL PINEDA who threw a gem of a game pitching 7 complete innings, 108 pitches, allowing only 4 hits, 1 run while striking out 8 and walking only 2 batters; and, catcher GARY SANCHEZ who hit 2 home runs, driving in 5 runs. SANCHEZ also threw out Mookie Betts attempting to steal second base in the first inning which set the entire tone of the game.

The Yankees took 2 out of 3 games from their arch rival and are looking more and more like a very serious contender for a playoff spot, if not the World Series.

  • Boston Red Sox DAVID ORTIZ(BIG PAPI) embraces Mookie Betts prior to the final game of a four game series with the Baltimore Orioles. The Red Sox went on to defeat the Orioles 5-3, sweeping them and opening up a 5 1/2 game lead over the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL East.

Uploaded are seven selected images from tonight’s Red Sox Orioles game from Oriole Park at Camden Yards. In BIG PAPI’s last game at Oriole Park, the Red Sox defeated the Orioles 5-3, sweeping them in the four game series. The Red Sox were led by a strong performance by DAVID PRICE(17-8) who pitched 7 innings, allowing 3 runs and six hits , walking two and striking out five. The Red Sox have won each of his last nine starts since August 7.
Rookie outfielder, ANDREW BENINTENDI, drove in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning and Hanley Ramirez hit his 29th home run in the 7th inning.
In his last time at bat, DAVID ORTIZ singled. Ortiz went 1 or 3 and walked twice. I sent you two special shots featuring David Ortiz; one with BIG PAPI little MOOKIE; and one capturing his loyal fans.

  • Two Heroes of the Red Sox Orioles series: David Ortiz and Mookie Betts. Prior to game 4 of the Series, won by the Orioles 12-7.
The game played June 2nd 2016 pitted the Boston Red Sox against the Baltimore Orioles played at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Despite the efforts of David Ortiz, Big Papi, who hit his 16th home run of the year driving in his league leading 51st run, the Baltimore Orioles, on the strength of 7 home runs, defeated the Boston Red Sox 12-7. Two critical plays of the game were first, Red Sox first baseman, Hanley Ramirez being tagged out by Orioles shortstop Manny MACHADO in the top of the 6th inning attempting to steal second base and ending a big rally by the Red Sox; And Second, a three-run home run by Manny Machado in the bottom of the 7th inning , breaking a 5-5 tie game.
Despite this painful loss, the Red Sox leave Baltimore with the same lead that came in with(splitting the four games 2-2) — a one game lead over the Orioles in the East Division of the American League. It looks like this year will be an exciting battle between these two high powered offensive teams.
