On the St. Louis Rams first play in the second half, Eagles linebacker Trent Cole sacks Rams quarterback Austin Davis causing a fumble that is picked up by Eagles defensive end Cedric Thornton for a touchdown giving the Eagles a 27-7 lead. Later in the third quarter, Thornton picked up another fumble this time by Rams running back Zac Stacy and rambled for 40 yards setting up a touchdown by Jeremy Maclin.
Late in the third quarter, Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Cedric Thornton picks up his second fumble this time by St. Louis Rams running back Zac Stacy and returns it 40 yards to set up a Nick Foles touchdown pass to Jeremy Maclin. The Eagles went on to win 34-28, going 4-1 to start their season.
