Take a look at these 5 selected images from today’s New England Patriots vs Philadelphia Eagles game, won by the Patriots 17-10.

It is  only fitting that the New England Patriots used a trick play to  defeat the Philadelphia Eagles to revenge the famous “Philly Special” play that the Eagles used to defeat the Patriots in Super Bowl 52.  Trailing 10-9 in the third quarter with the ball in the Eagles  15 yard line on a third down and 11 for a first down, Tom Brady threw a backward pass to Julian Edelman, who then threw a  touchdown pass to wide receiver Phillip Dorsett. James White then ran the ball into the endzone for the ensuing two-point conversion giving the Patriots a 17-10 lead which turned out to be the final score of the game. The first two images that I am sending you capture these game winning plays

The Patriots sacked Carson Wentz 5 times, creating one turnover. The third picture that I am sending you captures one of these sacks.

The fourth image shows Carson Wentz throwing his only touchdown pass to Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert.

The fifth and final image is of Eagles tight end Zach Ertz stiff arming Patriots Jamie Collins. Ertz gained 94 passing yards.

  • Philadelphia Eagles tight end, ZACH ERTZ, receives a 25 yard touchdown pass from Carson Wentz in the second quarter giving the Eagles a 12-0 lead. ERTZ gained 103yards leading the Eagles to a 22-14 victory.

Take a look at these selected images from the Chicago Bears vs Philadelphia Eagles, won by the Eagles 22-14.

The Philadelphia Eagles tried to blow a 19-point lead to the Chicago Bears, but managed to hold on for a 22-14 victory in a rematch of the NFC Wild Card Game to move to 5-4 on the year. Philadelphia allowed the Bears to score 14 unanswered points after taking a 19-0 lead in the third quarter, but put together one of their most impressive drives of the season in taking 8:14 off the clock in the fourth quarter, converting four consecutive third downs in the most critical junction of the game.

Chicago never got the ball back after Jake Elliott hit a 38-yard field goal with 26 seconds left to make it 22-14. Bears tight end Adam Shaheen muffed the catch on the kickoff and the Eagles recovered to deny Chicago a last ditch effort for a Hail Mary and an attempt to tie the game with a two-point conversion.

Jordan Howard scored a touchdown in his first game against his former team, finishing with 19 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown. Zach Ertz had his best game of the season as the Eagles tight end had nine catches for 103 yards and a touchdown, a 25-yard catch for his second score of 2019.

The Bears had just nine total yards in the first half, but rallied back in this game with two scoring drives in three possessions between the third and fourth quarter. Chicago’s offense had no turnovers, but finished with just 164 yards of offense. Mitchell Trubisky went 10 of 21 for 125 yards with no touchdowns and a 66.6 passer rating. The Bears have lost their fourth consecutive game after a 3-1 start to the season, falling to 3-5 and remaining in last place in the NFC North.

After falling behind 17-0 and 20-7 at the end of the first half, the Eagles came alive with the outstanding play of quarterback, CARSON WENTZ, and wide receiver, De SEAN JACKSON.

JACKSON, who was the player of the game, had 8 catches  for 154 yards and two 50+ yard touchdowns. WENTZ went 28 for 39 for 313 yards and 3 touchdown passes. The Eagles gained 436 total yards.

If the Eagles can tighten up their pass defense and continue playing like they did in the second half, they could be Super Bowl contenders.

  • Philadelphia Eagles tight end, Zach Ertz, catches his first of 12 receptions for a first down in the first quarter against the Houston Texans. ERTZ has 113 catches for the year, breaking Jason Witten’s single-season record for tight ends. Whitten had 110 catches for the Dallas Cowboys in 2012. The Eagles went on to defeat the Houston Texans 32-30.

In one of the most exciting games of the year, the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Houston Texans 32-30 on a 35-yard field goal as time expired. With less than two minutes remaining, and the Eagles trailing the Texans 29-30, Eagles quarterback, NICK FOLES, was injured on a late hit by Houston’s Jadeveon Clowney. While FOLES appeared severely injured lying on his back for at least 5 minutes, he slowly got up and left the game for one play. Then he returned and led his team down the field to score and win the game and keep their playoff hopes alive.

FOLES threw for a franchise-record 471 yards and four touchdown passes while ZACH ERTZ had 12 catches to break
Jason Whitten’s single season record for tight-ends with 110 catches for the Dallas Cowboys in 2012. ERTZ has 113 catches and has one game remaining.

Attached are four selected images that capture these moments.

  • Philadelphia Eagles tight end, ZACH ERTZ, drives for a first down after catching a pass from NICK FOLES in the second quarter of Super Bowl LII against the New England Patriots. The Eagles went on to win their first Super Bowl 41-33.
Nick Foles rose to the occasion defeating the greatest quarterback ever to play in the NFL, Tom Brady by a score of 41-33.
Nick Foles, the backup quarterback who took over as Philadelphia’s starting quarterback only after an injury to Carson Wentz in Week 14, completed 28 of 43 passes for 373 yards and 3 touchdowns, and he even caught a touchdown pass in an offensive effort that few predicted he was capable of coming into the game. He repeatedly converted third down opportunities, threw aggressively into coverage all game, and appeared every bit as poised and confident as Brady, the five-time champion on the other side of the field.
The Eagles had offensive stars all over the field, with LeGarrette Blount rushing for 90 yards and a touchdown, Corey Clement contributing 108 yards of total offense, and Nelson Agholor catching 9 passes for 84 yards. But it was Zach Ertz, Foles’s favorite target, who got the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter when he dove over Devin McCourty for a thrilling 11-yard touchdown pass that stood up to a long review by the officials who were trying to determine if he had possession of the ball before it shot out of his hands in the end zone. Ertz finished the day with 7 catches for 67 yards.
Foles is the first player in NFL history to both throw and catch a touchdown pass in a Super Bowl.

The BLOCKED PUNT is a special moment.
