    Stars of the game were Red Sox starting pitcher, RICK PORCELLO, who held the Yankees to only 4 hits and one run over five innings for his first postseason victory; CHRIS SALE, who in a rare relief appearance, pitched a perfect 1-2-3 eighth inning to protect a 4-1 lead; and

    Boston Red Sox catcher, CHRISTIAN VASQUEZ, who hit the winning home run in the fourth inning to give the Red Sox a 4-0 lead.

  • Boston Red Sox starter, Nate Eovaldi, strikes out New York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit in the first inning of game 3 of the Playoff. Eovaldi pitched 7 innings allowing only 1 run, striking out 5 leading the Red Sox to a 16-1 lopsided victory over the Yankees.

    The second image in BROCK HOLT hitting a two-run triple in the 7-run fourth inning. BROCK became the first player in history to hit for the cycle in a post season game. For the evening, he went 4 for 6 driving in 5 runs—-quite a night.

    The third and final image captures ANDREW BENINTENDI hitting a double in the fourth inning and driving in 3 runs.

    The Red Sox now lead the series 2-1 and play game 4 tomorrow night, again at Yankee Stadium.

BROCK HOLT became the first player to hit for the cycle in a post season game. The Red Sox routed the New York Yankees 16-1 in game three of the playoffs.
