  • New York Yankees starting pitcher, LUIS SEVERINO, pitches his 99th and last pitch to Boston Red Sox second baseman Brock Holt. SEVERINO pitched 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball, allowing only 2 hits, striking out 6 and allowing only 3 walks leading the Yankees to a 11-1 route of the Boston Red Sox

Uploaded here are 7 selected images from tonight’s Red Sox/Yankees game from Yankee Stadium. I think you will like them and hopefully be able to use one or two of them—-they are particularly strong.
New York Yankees starting pitcher, LUIS SEVERINO, became the first 13 game winner in the majors, pitching 6 2/3rd innings of shutout ball, allowing only 2 hits, striking out 6 and walking 3. Severino was supported by 6 home runs, of which three were hit by leadoff batter, AARON HICKS.
GLYBER TORRES hit another three-run home run and he now leads the major leagues with 6 three-run home runs.

Finally, Yankees third string catcher, KYLE HIGASHIOKA, who had gone 0 for 22 in the major leagues, got his first hit, a home run into the second deck in left field.
It was a great night for the Yankees, not so much for the Red Sox. But, it is a long season and the Red Sox rivalry will continue all year long. The Yankees play the final three games of the season at Fenway Park.
