Uploaded here are 5 selected images from today’s Marlins/ Phillies game, won by the Marlins 6-3. The game featured the much-anticipated Phillies debut of JAKE ARRIETA. While ARRIETA had a shaky start, giving upthree runs in the first inning, he settled down and held the Marlins scoreless for the next three innings. ARRIETA left the game after pitching 4 innings and allowing 3 runs on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts. ARRIETA has now allowed 3 or fewer runs in 15 consecutive starts, which ranks his ERA third in the majors, trailing only Washington’s Stephan Strasburg and Cleveland’s Corey Kluber.
