  • Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, Alshon Jeffrey celebrates scoring on a short pass from Carson Wentz in the fourth quarter giving the Eagles a 29-20 lead. The Eagles went on to win 32-27.

Check out these 6 images from today’s Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins game, won by the Eagles 32-27.

After falling behind 17-0 and 20-7 at the end of the first half, the Eagles came alive with the outstanding play of quarterback, CARSON WENTZ, and wide receiver, De SEAN JACKSON.

JACKSON, who was the player of the game, had 8 catches  for 154 yards and two 50+ yard touchdowns. WENTZ went 28 for 39 for 313 yards and 3 touchdown passes. The Eagles gained 436 total yards.

If the Eagles can tighten up their pass defense and continue playing like they did in the second half, they could be Super Bowl contenders.

  • THE AGONY OF DEFEAT. Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver, ALSHON JEFFERY, agonizes on the ground after a Nich Foles pass is deflected off of JEFFERY'S fingertips and is intercepted by the Saints MARSHON LATTIMORE ending a serious Eagles threat with less than 2 minutes remaining. At the time, the Eagles were driving for another comeback win on the SAINTS 27 yard line. ALSHON and the Eagles were devastated.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, NICK FOLES, reaches for a touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in the first quarter of the NFC DIVISIONAL GAME giving the Eagles an early 14-0 lead. FOLES completed 18 of 31 passes for 201 yards, but lost the game 20-14 on a late interception because of a deflected pass off the fingertips of ALSHON JEFFERY with less than 2 minutes in the game.

Check out these 5 selected images from today’s NFC DIVISIONAL GAME won by the New Orleans Saints 20-14 over the Philadelphia Eagles.

It was a heartbreaking loss for the Eagles, who looked like they were going to make a last minute comeback, driving down to the Saints 27 yard line with approximately two minutes to play and trailing the Saints by only 6 points(20-14). At this point, disaster struck the Eagles as a Nick Foles pass to wide receiver, ALSHON JEFFREY, was deflected off of his fingertips and intercepted by the Saints cornerback, MARSHON LATTIMORE, thus ending the Eagles threat. ALSHON and the Eagles suffered the proverbial Agony of Defeat. (ironically, as the Chicago Bears did last week against the Eagles on a deflected field goal attempt)

The other highlights of the game that I sent you were: Eagles wide receiver JORDAN MATTHEWS celebrating the first touchdown of the game and NICK FOLES leaping and scoring the second touchdown of the game.

There is great joy in the Big Easy tonight.
