New York Jets rookie quarterback, SAM DARNOLD, while completing 25 of 41 passes for 334 yards, had TWO CRITICAL INTERCEPTIONS and struggled to get the offense moving all day. The Jets defense forced five turnovers to start the season in Detroit, and Sunday it held Miami scoreless after halftime, keeping the Jets within striking distance. In the second quarter, with about a minute left, the Dolphins had third-and-6 from the New York 33. The Jets got the sack, but the drive stayed alive because of a Morris Claiborne holding penalty. The Dolphins went on to score and take a 20-0 lead before halftime.
