Having swept the Mariners in the three game series, the Yankees have now won 4 in a row and 17 of their last 21 games. AROLDIS CHAPMAN earned the save, his 22nd out of 23 attempts.     Uploaded here are four really outstanding images from tonight’s New York Yankees/ Boston Red Sox game from Fenway park. Boston’s starting pitcher, RICK PORCELLO, threw a gem of a game, pitching a no-hitter for 6 innings, and allowing only 2 hits, no runs, no walks, while striking out 6 for seven innings.
    Boston had a scare in the first inning when HANLEY RAMIREZ was hit on the wrist by a pitch thrown by the Yankee’s starting pitcher Sonny Gray and RAMIREZ had to leave the game. Fortunately, XRAYS subsequently showed that RAMIREZ suffered a contusion but no broken bones.
    The Red Sox went on to win 6-3, taking the first 2 out 3 games in the series.

Boston’s starting pitcher, RICK PORCELLO, threw a gem of a game, pitching a no-hitter for 6 innings, and allowing only 2 hits, no runs, no walks, while striking out 6 for seven innings.

On the opposite side of the ledger, recently acquired slugger, GIANCARLO STANTON, struck out 5 times his first five-times strike out game of his career. Dispite his dismal start, the Yankees defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 11-4 in their home opener.
    Joanie and I are now off to Boston for their home opener against the same Tampa Bay Rays.
