  • New York Yankees right fielder, AARON JUDGE, breaks up Boston Red Sox RICK PORCELLO's no-hitter with a double leading off the 7th inning.The Red Sox went on to win 6-3, taking the first 2 out of 3 games of the series.

    Uploaded here are four really outstanding images from tonight’s New York Yankees/ Boston Red Sox game from Fenway park. Boston’s starting pitcher, RICK PORCELLO, threw a gem of a game, pitching a no-hitter for 6 innings, and allowing only 2 hits, no runs, no walks, while striking out 6 for seven innings.
    Boston had a scare in the first inning when HANLEY RAMIREZ was hit on the wrist by a pitch thrown by the Yankee’s starting pitcher Sonny Gray and RAMIREZ had to leave the game. Fortunately, XRAYS subsequently showed that RAMIREZ suffered a contusion but no broken bones.
    The Red Sox went on to win 6-3, taking the first 2 out 3 games in the series.

  • New York Yankees shortstop, DIDI GREGORIUS, gets a high five from Brett Gardner, after hitting his second home run of the game in the seventh inning off of Tampa Bay reliever Austin Pruitt. GREGORIUS went 4 for 4, driving in 8 runs setting a major league record for RBIs by a player in a home opener and a Yankee record for RBIs by a shortstop. The Yankees won 11-4.

    Derek Jeter, who was he? Starting his fourth season as Derek Jeter’s successor, DIDI GREGORIUS, had a spectacular home opener. GREGORIUS went 4 for 4, with two three-run home runs, driving in 8 runs, setting a major league record for RBIs by a player in a home opener AND setting a Yankee record for RBIs by a shortstop. On the opposite side of the ledger, recently acquired slugger, GIANCARLO STANTON, struck out 5 times his first five-times strike out game of his career. Dispite his dismal start, the Yankees defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 11-4 in their home opener.
    Joanie and I are now off to Boston for their home opener against the same Tampa Bay Rays.
