Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, CARSON WENTZ, completes pass to his tight end Brent Celek in the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers. WENTZ completed 18 of 32 passes for 211 yards and two touchdowns and one interception, leading the Eagles to a 33-10 victory over the 49ers.
I have uploaded eight selected images from today’s San Francisco 49ers vs Philadelphia Eagles game which capture the key plays of the game. The Eagles, despite reflecting some weaknesses on their offensive line, soundly defeated the 49ers 33-10. The NINERS are an extremely weak team having lost every game this year and are 0-8 for the first time in franchise history; therefore, it is very difficult to assess the Eagles performance today. Nevertheless, the Eagles are now 7-1, the best record in the NFL. CARSON WENTZ leads the NFL with the 19 TD passes, the most by an Eagles quarterback through eight games. The Eagles defense again played very well, sacking the 49ers quarterback 4 times, blocking a field goal, and holding them to 10 points.
There is no question that CARSON WENTZ is a legitimate MVP candidate, despite his mediocre performance today. Next week the Denver Broncos will provide a better test of how good the Eagles really are. Of course, I will be there .
On a different note, the weather was miserable and several of the 49ers continued to protest during the National Anthem.
