Boston Red Sox first baseman, HANLEY RAMIREZ, blooped a bases-loaded fly ball off Ryan Yarbrough over the drawn-in outfield in right to break a 12th inning tie to defeat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-2 in Boston’s home opener. It was the ninth straight Red Sox win in an extra inning game. The Red Sox are now 6-1.
