  • Playing his final game at Yankee Stadium, Boston Red Sox icon DAVID ORTIZ(BIG PAPI) tips his hat to the Yankee Stadium fans. ORTIZ struck out and walked as the Red Sox lost to the Yankees 5-1. In the three game series which was swept by the Yankees, ORTIZ was 0 for 10 with four strike outs.

    Uploaded are seven selected images from tonight’s Red Sox Orioles game from Oriole Park at Camden Yards. In BIG PAPI’s last game at Oriole Park, the Red Sox defeated the Orioles 5-3, sweeping them in the four game series. The Red Sox were led by a strong performance by DAVID PRICE(17-8) who pitched 7 innings, allowing 3 runs and six hits , walking two and striking out five. The Red Sox have won each of his last nine starts since August 7.
    Rookie outfielder, ANDREW BENINTENDI, drove in the go-ahead run in the fifth inning and Hanley Ramirez hit his 29th home run in the 7th inning.

  • Boston Red Sox designated hitter, JD MARTINEZ, homers in the 8th inning off of New York Yankees relief pitcher Justin Wilson. The Red Sox went on to defeat the Yankees 4-0.

  • Boston Red Sox reliever, TANNER HOUK, throws a strike against New York Yankees center fielder, BRETT GARDNER. HOUK pitched 3 innings allowing only 1 hitter and no runs.

  • Boston Red Sox starting pitcher, RICK PORCELLO, exits the game after allowing a tie-breaking two-run home run to GARY SANCHEZ in the fifth inning. PORCELLO(4 -5) left the game after allowing 5 runs in 4 2/3 inning. This was PORCELLO’S first time facing the Yankees since his series clinching victory at Yankee Stadium in game 4 of last year’s AL Division series.

    Joe Torre was honored prior to the game as part of  the pregame festivities recognizing Prostate Cancer month.

    Gary Sanchez hit his game tie-breaking 18th home run putting the Yankees ahead for good and Aroldis Chapman preserved the victory, his 17th save in 18 tries.

    ON the Red Sox side of the ledger, Xander Bogaerts went 3 for 3, with a game tying two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning.

    New York Yankees starting pitcher, JAMES PAXTON, recorded the strongest Yankee pitching performance of the year. PAXTON pitched 8 complete innings, allowing no runs, 2 hits, striking out 12, with only one walk.

    Boston Red Sox woes continue. CHRIS SALE, Red Sox Ace, had another very poor performance, allowing 4 runs, 7 hits, while striking out 6 over 5 innings. SALE is now 0-4, his worst start in his pitching career.

    New York Yankees hitting stars were CLINT FRAZIER, LUKE VOIT, AND LF TAUCHMAN. Red Sox bats were silent with only 3 hits and no runs.

    The Red Sox are now 6-12, one of the worst starts in franchise history.

    Unfortunately for the Red Sox, their ACE, CHRIS SALE, had another poor performance, allowing 5 runs, 7 hits over 4 innings and he is now 0-3. I sent you two very nice shots of these pitchers.

    In the top of ninth inning, Blue Jays short stop FREDDY GALVIS hit an RBI double, giving the Blue Jays a 7-5 lead that they never relinquished.

    I also am sending you images of key hits by MITCH MORELAND, XANDER BOGAERTS, AND MOOKIE BETTS.  The final two images are of Blue Jays closer, K GILES  striking out Mookie Betts to end the game.

    I think it will be a long season for the Sox.
