  • In a critical point of the game, New York Yankees manager, AARON BOONE, goes out to the mound in the top of the 6th inning unsure whether to take out his starting pitcher JAMES PAXTON with two outs and a runner on base. After a brief meeting on the mound Boone decides to leave PAXTON in the game for the final out. PAXTON delivers by getting Robinson Chirinos to fly out to deep center field in front of the left-field scoreboard. The Yankees went on to win 4-1.

  • Boston Red Sox starter, Nate Eovaldi, strikes out New York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit in the first inning of game 3 of the Playoff. Eovaldi pitched 7 innings allowing only 1 run, striking out 5 leading the Red Sox to a 16-1 lopsided victory over the Yankees.

  • Boston Red Sox second baseman, Brock Holt, triples and drives in 2 runs in the 7- run fourth inning againt New York Yankees reliever Lance Lynn. BROCK HOLT became the first player to hit for the cycle in a post season game. The Red Sox routed the New York Yankees 16-1 in game three of the playoffs.

MASAHIRO pitched brilliantly, allowing only 3 hits, one walk striking out 8, and allowing no runs for 7 innings, leading the Yankees to a 5-0 victory and a 3-2 lead in the series.
