Philadelphia Phillies catcher, JT REALMUTO, hits and RBI double in the first inning off of New York Mets starting pitcher, JASON VARGAS, giiving the Phillies an early 1-0 lead. The Phillies went on to defeat the New York Mets 6-0.

The Phillies took control of the game in the eighth inning, scoring 3 runs on big hits by RHYS HOSKINS and ROMAN QUINN. Mets starting pitcher, JASON VARGAS, pitched well for 4 2/3^rd innings, allowing only 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 4.

The Mets and the Phillies are now tied for first place in their division with Atlanta and  Washington close behind. 2019 promises to be a very tight race for the National League East Division.
