New York Jets running back, BILAL POWELL, finds a whole in the Jacksonville Jaguars defense leaping over a Jaguars linebacker and runs for a 75 yard touchdown in the first quarter without being touched. It was the longest touchdown run since Bruce Harper went 78 yards in 1983.
I have captured six eye catching images from today’s New York Jets vs Jacksonville Jaguars game at MetLife Stadium win by the Jets 23-20 in overtime. This was an exciting game highlighted by two touchdown runs of 75 yards( BILAL POWELL) and 69 yards(rookie ELIJAH McGUIRE) and a 41 yard field goal by CHANDLER CATANZARO with 28 seconds remaining in overtime.
It was the first time in franchise history that the jets had two touchdown runs of 60 or more yards in the same game. The Jets are now 2 and 2, heading for the Cleveland Browns which is a particularly weak opponent.
For a team that was predicted to struggle all year, the Jets are surprising everyone…that’s sports for you.
