Red Sox outfielder J.D. Martinez hits a tiebreaking home run

Boston Red Sox outfielder, J.D. Martinez, hits a tiebreaking home run in the eighth inning against the New York Yankees. Boston went on to defeat the Yankees 5-4, moving back into a tie with the Yankees for the AL East.

Uploaded here are four really outstanding images from tonight’s New York Yankees/ Boston Red Sox game from Fenway park. Boston’s starting pitcher, RICK PORCELLO, threw a gem of a game, pitching a no-hitter for 6 innings, and allowing only 2 hits, no runs, no walks, while striking out 6 for seven innings.
Boston had a scare in the first inning when HANLEY RAMIREZ was hit on the wrist by a pitch thrown by the Yankee’s starting pitcher Sonny Gray and RAMIREZ had to leave the game. Fortunately, XRAYS subsequently showed that RAMIREZ suffered a contusion but no broken bones.
The Red Sox went on to win 6-3, taking the first 2 out 3 games in the series.
