  • New York Yankees closer, Aroldis Chapman, retires Houston Astros outfielder, George Springer, for the final out in the top of the 9th inning preserving a 4-1 victory for the Yankees. The Yankees now travel to Houston trailing 3-2 games.

With 2 outs, CHAPMAN got Devers to hit a weak ground ball to first base for the final out in the game. CHAPMAN earned his 17th save in 18 tries, preserving a 5-3 victory for the Yankees.

The Yankees have now won 15 of their last 18 games and clinched their ninth straight series victory, a feat that the Yankees have not accomplished since 1998.  The Red Sox, on the other hand, have lost 6 out their last 8 games, and have fallen 9 ½ games behind the division leading Yankees. This may be the Yankees’ year.

    Joe Torre was honored prior to the game as part of  the pregame festivities recognizing Prostate Cancer month.

    Gary Sanchez hit his game tie-breaking 18th home run putting the Yankees ahead for good and Aroldis Chapman preserved the victory, his 17th save in 18 tries.

    ON the Red Sox side of the ledger, Xander Bogaerts went 3 for 3, with a game tying two-run home run in the top of the fourth inning.

The game was won in the first inning when AARON JUDGE and MIGUEL ANDUJAR both hit two-run home runs to give the Yankees a 4-0 lead. The Yankees now have a 50-22 record, the best in the Major Leagues. Having swept the Mariners in the three game series, the Yankees have now won 4 in a row and 17 of their last 21 games. AROLDIS CHAPMAN earned the save, his 22nd out of 23 attempts.     In their first meeting at Yankee Stadium since 2003, the New York Yankees defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 4-3. This was the Yankees’ fifth straight win. The game was highlighted by strong starting pitching by MASAHIRO TANAKA, who pitched 6 1/3 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5. DELLIN BETANCES and AROLDIS CHAPMAN pitched the 8th and 9th innings without giving up a run. The two hitting stars were STARLIN CASTRO and AUSTIN ROMINE each of whom homered.

  • Chicago Cubs reliever, AROLDIS CHAPMAN , throws a strike to Mike Napoli, in the ninth inning of game three of the World Series. While Chapman retired the side with no hits or runs, the Cubs lost game three of the World Series 1-0.

    Uploaded are 10 of my best images from tonight’s Game 3 of the World Series at Wrigley Field. Just being here for this historic game was thrilling. Harry Caray was right—“As sure as God created green apples, someday the Cubs are going to be in the World Series”… and they are. I am planning to go to game 6 and 7, if they take place.
