Two Heroes of the Red Sox Orioles series: David Ortiz and Mookie Betts. Prior to game 4 of the Series, won by the Orioles 12-7.
The game played June 2nd 2016 pitted the Boston Red Sox against the Baltimore Orioles played at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Despite the efforts of David Ortiz, Big Papi, who hit his 16th home run of the year driving in his league leading 51st run, the Baltimore Orioles, on the strength of 7 home runs, defeated the Boston Red Sox 12-7. Two critical plays of the game were first, Red Sox first baseman, Hanley Ramirez being tagged out by Orioles shortstop Manny MACHADO in the top of the 6th inning attempting to steal second base and ending a big rally by the Red Sox; And Second, a three-run home run by Manny Machado in the bottom of the 7th inning , breaking a 5-5 tie game.
Despite this painful loss, the Red Sox leave Baltimore with the same lead that came in with(splitting the four games 2-2) — a one game lead over the Orioles in the East Division of the American League. It looks like this year will be an exciting battle between these two high powered offensive teams.
Boston Red Sox designated hitter DAVID ORTIZ hits an RBI double in a drivng rain storm in the sixth inning against the Baltimore Orioles. The Red Sox went on to win 8-1.
I have Uploaded these selected images from Wednesday’s Red Sox victory over the Orioles 8-1. In a rain shortened game, Jackie Bradley JR. and Sandy Leon hit massive home runs to lead the Sox. The star of the game Was David Price, who turned in perhaps his best performance of the year, allowing only one run on four hits over 6 innings. Attached are five Selected images that you might be able to use.
I believe that the Toronto Blue Jays, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Boston Red Sox will go down to the last game of the year to determine the winner of their division and the wild card teams.
Boston Red Sox DAVID ORTIZ(Big Papi) hits his 18th home run of the year in the 6thinning driving in his league leading 51st run and giving the Red Sox a temporary lead of 5-4 over the Baltimore Orioles. Ninth Inning Dramatics. After taking a called third strike with bases loaded in the ninth inning and subsequently ejected from the game, Boston Red Sox DAVID ORTIZ went wild and stormed on to the field threatening home plate umpire RON KULPA while his teammates attempted to restrain him. The Yankees went on to win 3-2.
Some wild things happened at the Red Sox Yankees game. One can never predict what will happen at these games. Questioning the umpires plate calls in the 9th inning, both Farrell and Ortiz were ejected from the game.
