Ninth Inning Dramatics. After taking a called third strike with bases loaded in the ninth inning and subsequently ejected from the game, Boston Red Sox DAVID ORTIZ went wild and stormed on to the field threatening home plate umpire RON KULPA while his teammates attempted to restrain him. The Yankees went on to win 3-2.
Some wild things happened at the Red Sox Yankees game. Questioning the umpires plate calls in the 9th inning, both Farrell and Ortiz were ejected from the game. One can never predict what will happen at these games.
