During this game, Wilmer Flores, who had been batting .244, went 6 for 6, only the second Mets player in history to achieve this feat. (Edgardo Alfonzo did in August 1999 in Houston)
It just goes to show you that in baseball you just never know what will happen.
These two events, coupled with strong pitching performance of Dodgers’ starting pitcher, Kenta Maeda, spelled victory for the Dodgers.
